Desk by Bruce Burdick for Herman Miller, 1980

Burdick’s innovative 'Burdick Group System Split level worktops, storage, project desktop, on an aluminium beam.

This desk features split-level worktops, a three drawer filing cabinet and an accessory stand clipped to the central beam.

Makers mark to the underside.

Good vintage condition however some visible signs of previous use as this piece is in original condition but does not detract.

Missing beam end caps,

No key for the drawer.

Desk height 74cm.

Awarded by the Institute of Business Designers and IDSA, the Burdick Group was named one of Time magazine’s best industrial designs of 1981 for its groundbreaking ability to support computers and office tech.
