American Space Age Steel & Clear Perspex Jet Plane Table Lamp c1980

A striking 1980s sculptural jet plane table lamp, probably American, constructed in brushed/polished steel with clear perspex wings and tail fins. The aircraft is mounted on a sweeping curved steel support above a rectangular metal base, giving the impression of the jet in flight.

A wonderfully playful and highly decorative example of late 20th-century Space Age design, equally at home as a statement desk lamp, bedside light or collector’s display piece.
